Surinam Cherry “Lolita Cherry” Brazil Cherry
This evergreen Florida native, is not exactly a cherry, but more like a berry. It’s white flowers give way to a bright red berry outside. Its slightly tart, but sweet taste makes it a forage and garden favorite! These little magical berries have many medicinal properties as well, and are highly regarded in the Philippines, where it is known as "Pitanga".
